電話越しの相手と愛を営むため、二人きりになれる部屋にやって来た女性を描きました。街に張り巡らされた公衆電話のコードは、あまりに魅力的な彼女が街中の男たちの秩序を歪ませてしまう様子を表しています。しかし彼女自身もまた、生身のコミュニケーションを取らせてくれない、遠くの誰かに夢中になっています。

The painting depicts a scene in which a woman comes to a room where she can be alone with a man she has met on the phone, and the two make love. The public phone cords strung throughout the city represent how her charm distorts the order of the men in the city. However, she is also infatuated with someone far away who will not allow her to communicate with him in person.
