カンガルーにKO負けを喫した姿がテレビで繰り返し放送され、試合後何日も外を出歩けず塞ぎ込んでいるボクサー。部屋は悲しみの海に浸っています。一方勝者であるカンガルーは、プレイボーイの表紙を飾る程に、世の中を席巻していることが伺えます。そんな明暗のくっきりと分かれた日々を送る両者でしたが、ある日カンガルーがボクサーの元にお見舞いに来る、というシーンでこのストーリーは終わっています。この後、両者の間に友情が生まれるのかは描かれていませんが、悲しみの部屋から一歩引いて見ると、ボクサーを心配そうに見つめるカンガルーがいたり、窓の外の世界はとても明るいことが分かります。何かを得ようと懸命に生きて、結果思い描いたものは手に入らないかもしれないけれど、すぐ近くに別の世界が開けている、というような希望や救いを描きました。

After the match, the boxer cannot go outside for days as his knockout loss to the kangaroo is broadcast on television over and over again. His room is immersed in a sea of sadness. Meanwhile, the winner, the kangaroo, is on the cover of Playboy and taking the world by storm. The two men lead such clearly different lives, but one day the kangaroo comes to visit the boxer, and the story ends with that scene. It is not shown whether a friendship develops between the two after this, but if you step out of the sad room, you can see the kangaroo looking worriedly at the boxer, and the world outside the window is very bright. This work depicts the hope and salvation of living life to get something, and that even if you don't get what you imagined, there is another world nearby.
